Bats Are Not Blind
Contrary to the popular saying 'blind as a bat,' most bats can see quite well, and some even have better vision than humans in low light.
About this fact
The idea that bats are blind is a common misconception. In fact, no bat species is truly blind. Most bats have good eyesight, well-suited for navigating in dim light. While many species use echolocation (emitting sound waves and listening for echoes) to hunt and navigate in complete darkness, they also rely on their vision, especially for long-distance travel and spotting landmarks. Some fruit bats, which don't use echolocation, have excellent night vision, even better than humans'.
