Elephants Are the Only Mammals That Can't Jump
Due to their immense weight and bone structure, elephants are physically incapable of jumping. All four feet never leave the ground simultaneously.
About this fact
Elephants are unique among mammals for their inability to jump. Their massive weight (up to 6 tons) and the structure of their leg bones and joints make it impossible for them to propel their entire body off the ground. While they can run at speeds up to 25 mph, at least one foot always remains in contact with the ground. Other heavy mammals like rhinos and hippos can manage a sort of gallop where all feet are briefly airborne, but not elephants.
